Pregnancy cravings? So far with both pregnancies, I have only craved “fresh” foods - fruits, veggies, salads, smoothies...you name it. It truly made me happy to just lay on the couch, binge on my shows, not text and just be lazy. ____ Sometimes self care is just being #ok with not doing much. Egg fried Maggie ~~~~~Maggie Mania Recipe 5~~~~~~ Ingredients: * 1 pack of Maggie and Maggie masala * 2 eggs * 1 green chilli * 1 small diced onion * 1/2 spoon chopped garlic * 1-2 spoons of oil * 1 pinch of pepper powder and peri peri masala for garnish * Salt(if required) Recipe: 1. In a bowl, heat water. Add Maggie and cook until 90% is done. Drain the water and keep cooked Maggie aside 2. In a hot pan, Add a spoon of oil and once oil is heat, add the egg. Add salt/pepper powder and fry the egg. Keep it aside. 3. In the same pan, add oil and fry onion, chilli, garlic. 4. Add Maggie masala and cook until Maggie is completely cooked. Add salt if required. 5. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ A colourful rainbow for lunch! ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 1 cup Pearl Cous Cous⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 2 cups Water or Stock⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 1/2 Onion diced⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 2 cups Roasted Butternut⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Handful of Cherry Tomatoes ⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Cucumber⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Sweet Pepper⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Avocado⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Feta⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Salt and Pepper⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Balsamic Vinegar⁣⁣⁣⁣ - A squeeze of fresh Lemon⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Boil water/stock and add pearl cous cous. Cook until just cooked. Strain and cool completely. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Peel and chop butternut into cubes. Roast until golden and a bit charred. Let cool. - Have fun chopping and prepping all the other colourful ingredients, set aside until cous cous is cooled.⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Toss cous cous and prepped ingredients in a bowl, dress with balsamic vinegar, a squeeze of lemon, salt and pepper to taste.⁣


⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ The perfect go to when you have no idea what to make for lunch!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 1 tin of Sweet Corn⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 1 cup of Flour⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 1 Egg⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Grated cheese⁣⁣⁣⁣ - 1/2 tsp Baking Powder⁣⁣⁣⁣ - A dash of milk ⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Salt and Pepper⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Mix sweetcorn, flour, baking powder, egg, cheese, salt and pepper together in a bowl. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ - If the mixture is too thick (It should be flap jack consistency), add milk.⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Heat and lightly grease a non-stick pan to medium heat (high heat will burn the outside and not cook the inside)⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Add spoonfuls of the mixture to the pan, 2 to 3 at a time, just in case they spread.⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Flip them once bubbles appear on the top of the uncooked side. ⁣⁣⁣⁣ - Remove from pan once cooked, place onto a paper towel and repeat the above steps until your batter is finished. ⁣


⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧 & 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝐌𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐬:⁣⁣⁣ A quick cheat batch to better that plain bran muffin mix sitting in your cupboard! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:⁣⁣⁣ - Any Bran Muffin Mix (& additional ingredients it requires) ⁣⁣⁣ - 2 cups finely Grated Carrots⁣⁣⁣ - 2 tsp Cinnamon⁣⁣⁣ - 1 cup Raisins⁣⁣ - 1/2 cup fave Nuts⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:⁣⁣⁣ - Mix all ingredients together, be sure not to over mix.⁣⁣⁣ - Bake in a 190°C preheated oven for 15mins or until a knife comes out clean⁣

Flicking through the all @sovegan recipe book and made these peanut butter jelly slices, they're super simple and good for these summer days . . On a medium heat in a pan pour in 120g of peanut butter, 4 tbsp of maple syrup and 4 tbsp of coconut oil. Stir until the coconut oil is fully blending into the mixture. Then in a separate mixing bowl add in 200g of oats and combine the wet mixture with the oats. Grease up a loaf tray and then add half the mixture into it.Then in a separate pan add 2 tbsp of maple syrup and 200g of raspberry. Mix until it turns into a sauce. Then pour the raspberry sauce over the oats. Add the rest of the oats on top. Put in the oven for 20 minutes on 200 degrees.


Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇲 Crab Season on the Chesapeake Bay begins on April 1st and runs all summer long. We like to catch blue crabs off the dock. It is a favorite pastime for the grandchildren when they come to visit. One of the favorite things to make with our bounty is Crab Imperial. It is so rich and creamy and is always a request during the summer holidays. We make these as individual servings on Large Culinary Scallop Shells that have been passed down from my Husband's mother, but you can use individual serving dishes that are oven safe or make it as a casserole in an 8” X 8” casserole dish.
