Fun fact: You’re always only decision away from being who you want to be. January was about minimizing and managing my ego, this month is about getting clear on my driving force. What makes me qualified to do the things that I do? What makes me good at what I do? Earlier this week my @vitalvoices sisters and I were tasked with that work. Outside of my certification, I can’t put it all in one sentence, but it’s getting clearer each days I know that it has something to do with making people feel like they belong AND being and underdog AND creating things that haven’t been done before AND potentiality. When I was a child, food was 3 times a day, maybe a snack, and if you went for seconds, you ate that too! Starving children in a far off country was the excuse to clean your plate. Please tag someone who could benefit from this post today.... Then age crept in and the same habits continued. A second helping was called second dinner. I would clear my dishes, head over to the pantry, and look around for something to "top off" what I just engulfed. Usually something sugary. It didn’t matter that I was actually already full from eating. Full? What does "full" mean? I would survey the calorie bombs in the pantry, found whatever I was in the mood for, grabbed the bag, and headed over to the couch. I flipped on the TV and put my hand in the bag. "Alright, dude - you're only going to eat a few", I would say. 9 times out of 10 "a few" turned into the whole damn bag. Looking back on this habit, it's obvious why I weighed 400 pounds. I was eating 1,000 calories AFTER I was already finished with my dinner! Do you do this too?? If you do, it's a tough habit to break. But once you learn a trick I teach to everyone I work with, it will improve your dietary compliance tremendously. After my last meal I “Close The Kitchen!” You are done for the evening. You CLOSE the pantry, you grab a zero calorie beverage, and relax. It's so simple, and so easy. The execution of this "trick" can be incredibly powerful in the world of fat loss.
